shit going down in africa

in case you hadn't noticed, there's a lot going on in northern africa (see an atlas).

from west to east.
niger expels muslims from chad.
chad is at war with rebels armed by sudan
sudan is at war with rebels armed by chad (it's actually way more complicated--search Darfur conflict)
sudan and ethiopia are ... ?
islamists in somalia are at war with ethiopia and ethiopian-armed somalia government forces
eritrea is arming the islamists.


basically, a lot of muslims vs. other people wars. but actually more complicated. surely the west is heavily involved. dont believe for a second that america would actually give a shit about genocide. if anything, it would instigate a genocide as an exscuse to send a peacekeeping mission. oh coincidence, lots of oil and muslims around!

ok actually i dont really know what's going on here, except lots of conflict.
